The Show

A world premiere taken from between the lines
of Shakespeare's Tempest.

The fairy sprite Ariel and the earthy Caliban both strain under the yoke of their Master, Prospero, and plot to overcome his spell. The story begins toward the end of The Tempest, when a drunken Caliban leaves the stage plotting to murder Prospero, only to return moments later completely transformed, with the startling line "…I'll be wise hereafter and seek for grace…." Caliban Dreams offers that missing scene, expanding on what might have happened to bring about this miraculous transformation.
